Miss Intercontinental is a contest and title of feminine beauty. It officially began in Aruba as "Miss Teenage Intercontinental" in 1973. The parade was organized by Rene Lacle. Like the Miss Universe, it is one of the beauties contests with major host countries, including countries like Bahamas, Belarus, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Nigeria, Colombia, Venezuela, Seychelles and China. The competition is based in Germany. The current Miss Intercontinental is Phataraporn Wang of Thailand. Since 2011, this contest has been chosen by continents as its name indicates, with only one of each continent coming to the top 5.
