Competition in Venezuela
The Miss Venezuela, is a national beauty contest run by Osmel Sousa Venezuela, called the Czar of beauty held annually since 1952. This contest is responsible for selecting the country's representatives to the Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Earth Continents Miss USA, and Miss Intercontinental Reina Hispanoamericana, among other beauty contests in the world. Until the 2011, it was chosen in the same version to the representative to Miss World; however after Miss World 2012 and considering the requirement of the Miss World Organization, a meeting between the president was held, Mrs. Julia Morley, and his counterpart Osmel Sousa. Miss Venezuela Organization decided to set parameters for the realization of Miss Venezuela, dividing it into two events: one to crown representatives to Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Earth and another to choose the candidate country to Miss world, this contest was called Miss World Venezuela. Under the direction of Osmel Sousa, Venezuela has won more titles than any other country beauty, including the four largest, leading and most famous events: July 1 Miss Universe winners, 6 winning Miss World, 6 Miss International winners and 2 winners of Miss Earth. In addition, Venezuela carries accumulated other crowns in other competitions: 6 winners Reina Hispanoamericana and 5 winning the Miss Intercontinental, among others. The event is transmitted and produced live and live throughout Latin America by Venezuelan television Venevision, with corrected in the United States and Mexico versions. It is also transmitted for all America through Directv. Traditionally, lasts about four hours and parade is held in mid-September or October in Caracas Polyhedron or other enclosure chosen by the Organization. The parade is preceded by a month of preliminary events, including corporate awards, presentation to the press and interactive show of beauty. The current owners of the contest is Miss Venezuela Organization, chaired by Osmel Sousa, Cisneros and Venevision Venezuelan television.
